Fraser MorrisBeechwood continued their great start to the 2011 campaign with a comprehensive 9 wicket victory over Southborough.

After winning the toss, captain Tony Freeman, seeing a slightly damp and green pitch (unusual for Otford), invited the opposition to make first use of the facilities, which their openers did with some aplomb, putting on 49 in double-quick time.  However, Culhane finally made the breakthrough after an excellent opening spell of bowling, and to follow was some diligent bowling from the spin-partnership of Savory and Gramopadhye which pegged the Southborough attack back, the visitors finally finishing their innings on 164 for 7.

In reply, openers Fraser Morris and Adrian Warner were on top form, putting on 124 for the first wicket before Warner finally succumbed but not before making a solid 40 runs.  The star of the show however was Morris, dispatching the ball to all parts of the ground with a mixture of elegance and power, and saw Beechwood home with nearly ten overs to spare, Morris finishing the day on 95 not out.
