Beechwood put last week's mauling firmly behind them with a great six-wicket victory over Merstham at Otford. They managed this with six 50+ players in their team for the first time in their history, proving it can be age before beauty sometimes.

The visitors batted first and a great all round bowling display meant that Merstham never really got away, and finished on 142 for 8 at tea, Chris Savory in the wickets again with a return of 5 for 25.

Fraser Morris then gave a great batting display to help Beechwood chase down the total, scoring a fine 53 and Bradley Hill chipped in with 29 runs as Makin and McCrea got the home team over the finish line with nine balls to spare.

A very enjoyable match and friendly game, we look forward to seeing Merstham again in 2016.
