Hill cleaned up

Beechwood managed to chase down a very competitive total set by Chelsfield Park on a delightful June afternoon at Otford.

The visitors won the toss and unsurprisingly batted first and made 178 for 9 in 41 overs, aided by a fine knock of 90 by Glennie. Fraser Morris was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3 for 40.

In a revamped top four, Tony Freeman (66 not out) and Morris (62) made great inroads into the target and the hosts finally finished on 179 for 4 with two overs to spare.  Another very enjoyable afternoon and a game played in great spirit.
