Larry CulhaneBeechwood recorded a good win in an emergency fixture against old friends Badgers on a pleasant Bank Holiday Sunday afternoon at Limpsfield.

What wasn't so pleasant was the M25 that day, which resulted in the visitors arriving at various different times after horrendous jams which severely affected their batting order.   In fact they were 19 for 6 at one stage with Larry Culhane (4 for 29) causing misery for the makeshift top order with some great controlled swing bowling.   However a magnificent 85 partnership between Gordon and Redding made sure the hosts were kept honest as the Badgers were finally dismissed for 121.

In reply the Kiwi trio of Morris (43), Guerin (33) and McLachlin (25*) put the bowlers somewhat to the sword, Sean Guerin standing out particularly with some fine blows to the boundary.  Beechwood eventually reached their target with just three wickets down and just over 23 overs bowled.
